Community Education

The Adult Learning Center is dedicated to providing adults a variety of opportunities for lifelong learning. We are keenly aware of a nationwide increase in demand for non-credit courses designed to meet the needs, concerns, and interests of adult citizens. Explore a special interest, upgrade a skill, learn something new, have fun, and build confidence by enrolling in any of over 260 plus courses. Whether for personal or professional development, the Adult Learning Center can provide the perfect learning experience for Virginia Beach residents. ALC teachers do what they teach!

Seminar topics are: Digital Parent Crash Course, Countdown to Graduation, Send Your Kid to College.Without Going Broke, Understanding Social Networking & Online Reputation Management (with an optional lab), and Getting In/ Staying In "Town Hall." . Medical Personnel-gain new skills in Spanish for Medical Professionals.

. Have fun and enjoy great exercise with the new Ballroom and Latin Dance Classes at Magic Moments Dance Studio!
. Grammar can be fun! Refresh your skills with Grammar, Crackers and Milk: Everything You've Needed to Know About Grammar Since Kindergarten.
. Would you like to learn to sew? Now is your chance with our new Basic Sewing Classes! . Enroll in our popular Pharmacy Technician Class and learn the skills for a whole new career. This is only one of 7 Workforce Training Certifi cate Programs.
. Develop confidence planning your projects, both large and small, through our new "project" series.
