The Renaissance Academy Diploma program offers credit courses for students eligible to complete a high school diploma or in need of courses necessary for college, occupational preparation/job advancement.

When are classes held?

Day classes are held Monday - Friday, 7:10 AM - 2:20 PM. Afternoon and evening classes are held Monday - Thursday, 3:30 PM - 9:28 PM on the campus of Virginia Beach Central Academy, 273 N. Witchduck Road, VA. Beach, 23462.

Who is eligible for classes?

Adults no longer attending school or currently enrolled students age 17 who are two years or more behind in school and referred by home school.

Tuition

Free to adults, age 20 or younger, born after August 1 and also to anyone enrolled in school this past year in Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Adults age 20, born on or before August 1, $300.00 per credit course, $6.50 text¬book rental fee. ($306.50 per credit) Non-resident tuition is $326.50 per credit.

For registration you must have the following

Currently enrolled Virginia Beach student: referral from high school sent to Renaissance Academy, transcript, test scores (Standards of Learning Tests), immunization record, and discipline record.

2. Adults/students new to area: transcript, proof of immunization, record from last school attended, birth certificate, and test scores (including Standards of Learning Tests).

3. Adults/withdrawn students: transcript, Standards of Learning Tests scores, and Immunization record from last school attended.

4. Graduate: No information is needed.

5. Orientation appointments begin two months before classes start.
